Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol which has been detected in more than 70 plant species, especially in grapes' skin and seeds, and was also found in small quantities in red wines. The key property of resveratrol is its capacity to act as a potent antioxidant.


But Resveratrol's protective effects are not due to its antioxidant activity only; it is also an anti-inflammatory and improves mitochondrial functions and biogenesis.
